Reconnecting the SmartFeeder to Wi-Fi

For customers with existing accounts that need to reconnect the SmartFeeder to Wi-Fi or transfer their account to a new SmartFeeder, follow the steps below:


First, place your phone on Bluetooth.

Next, place your SmartFeeder in front of you with the power turned off.

Open the Petnet App and follow the steps below.

  • Select the Device tab
  • Select Change Device

Your app will tell you to scan the QR code on the bottom of your new SmartFeeder Base.


Once the scan is complete, your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi name should pre-populate in the Wi-Fi field.

  • Enter your password and stop

Please perform the following steps quickly and in order. 

  • Turn the SmartFeeder on
  • Press Continue
  • Press Get Started

 

If you get an error stating "Cannot find SmartFeeder" or "Trouble connecting through Bluetooth" then:

  • Turn the SmartFeeder Off
  • Turn the SmartFeeder On
  • Press Try Again

 

If you get an error stating "Cannot recognize Network" or "Cannot recognize Password" then:

    • Force quit the app
    • Reopen the app
    • Press the back button to scan the QR code.
    • Enter your password and stop
    • Please perform the following steps quickly and in order.
      • Turn the SmartFeeder Off
      • Turn the SmartFeeder On
      • Press Try Again

You will see a white light on the feeder base when it is connected.
